MANCHESTER, N.H. - Junior Lindsay
Connor (West Haven, CT) went a combined 5-for-7 with three
RBI to lead Bryant University to a doubleheader sweep of The
Southern New Hampshire University here today in Northeast-10
Conference softball action. Bryant, which has now won 18 of its

overall and 13-5 in the NE-10.
Bryant got two solid pitching efforts from sophomore

Ingalls (Westford, MA). Enos scattered seven hits and
fanned seven in game one, while Ingalls allowed just two hits in
games two, which was called after five innings.

Freshman Ashley Bernstein walked to leadoff the inning and scored
on a single by junior Sandra Lawton. The scored remained 1-1 until
the top of the fifth when the Bulldogs got two runs off three hits.
A two-run single by Valentini plated both of the runs. The Penmen
cut the lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth after Bernstein
singled and later scored following a bases-loaded walk, but Enos
retired the hosts in order in the seventh to secure the win.
Bryant got a two-run homerun from junior Amanda Wilbur
(Lakeville, MA) in the top of the first in game two, and
took a 4-0 lead in the third following back-to-back RBI singles by
sophomore Vicci Duane (West Haven, CT) and
Thomas. The Bulldogs secured the win with four runs off two
hits in the fifth. A bases-loaded double to left center by Connor
plated three of the runs. Bryant had 10 hits in the nightcap.
Connor went 3-for-3 with three RBI, while Thomas 2-for-3 with two
RBI.
