BRYANT WOMEN'S LACROSSE DEFEATS
SAINT ANSELM 18-8 THURSDAY
SMITHFIELD, RI - Lauren Carlisle (San Diego,
Calif.) and Shaun Leddy (Sea Girt, NJ)
each scored four goals as the Bryant University women's lacrosse
team picked up an 18-8 win over visiting Saint Anselm College in
Northeast-10 Conference action Thursday.
Saint Anselm (6-7-1, 3-5 NE-10) freshman Michaela Rocha (Rye,
NH) gave the visiting Hawks a brief 1-0 lead with an unassisted
goal to open the game. But Bryant would roar back as

Mass.) got thing started with a
free position goal as the Bulldogs scored three goals in a span of
three minutes. Leddy and Carlisle (right) each added a
goal along with Delia Glover (Marston Mills,
Mass.) to give the Bulldogs a 4-1
advantage.
Glover would finish with three goals in the contest as Bryant
led 7-2 following Leddy's third tally of the afternoon with 17:12
left on the clock in the first half. After a Lauren Glancy
(Scituate, Mass.) goal two minutes later, Bryant would close out
the half by outscoring Saint Anselm 6-2 to take a commanding 13-5
lead into the half.
In the second half, Bryant (9-4, 7-2 NE-10) stretched its lead
to 17-5 before emptying the bench. Rocha finished with three
goals on the afternoon to lead Saint Anselm.
Samantha Libby
(Penacook,
NH) finished with 12 saves in the
contest for the Bulldogs. Bryant will conclude the regular
season Saturday with a trip to Saint Michael's before hosting a
Northeast-10 Conference first round game next Wednesday.
