BRYANT MEN'S LACROSSE SEASON ENDS WITH
12-10 LOSS AT MERRIMACK
COLLEGE IN NE-10 SEMIFINALS

- Merrimack freshman Greg Rogowski scored
five goals while Chris Elia and Kyle Beaudoin each added a pair of
goals to lead second-seeded Merrimack College to a 12-10 win over
third-seeded Bryant University in Northeast-10 Conference men's
lacrosse semifinal action Wednesday afternoon. Merrimack,
with the win, will advance to the conference championship game
Saturday.
Bryant (11-5) led 3-2 at the end of the
first quarter on goals from Steve Coppinger, Corey Crosbie and
Bryan Kaufmann while Bryan Molk's goal three minutes into the
second gave the visiting Bulldogs a 4-2 advantage. Merrimack
would respond as Rogowski and Elia helped the Warriors surge ahead
5-4.
Tied 8-8 heading into the fourth
quarter, Merrimack would go ahead by a goal twice only to see the
Bulldogs bounce back to tie the game twice in the final frame, the
final coming on a Craig Buckhout goal with 4:49 left to play to
knot the game at 10-10. Rogowski, would answer with two more
goals to close out the game and send the Warriors into the
championship game.
Matt McKeefrey and Jedd Storoshenko
each had two goals for the Bulldogs on the afternoon.
