NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Alex Dipippo scored an early
first half goal and Amy Orzechowski added a goal midway through the
second quarter to lift the third-ranked Bryant University women's
soccer team to a 2-0 Northeast-10 Conference win over Southern
Connecticut Saturday afternoon.
Dipippo scored just 19 minutes into the contest on a header on
one of five of Bryant's corner kicks. Tricia Spada picked up
the assist. The Bulldogs, who out-shot the host Owls 15 to 4
in the game, would put the game away as Amy Orzechowski notched her
fifth goal of the season, knocking in a loose ball in front of the
Southern Connecticut goal in the 66th minute to make it
2-0.
