SYRACUSE, NY - The second-ranked Bryant University women's
soccer team survived a scare Tuesday afternoon as the Bulldogs
rallied back from a halftime deficit to knock off Le Moyne College,
4-3 in Northeast-10 Conference action. The win kept
Bryant undefeated on the season as the Bulldogs improved to 10-0-2
on the year and 7-0-1 in the NE-10.
The Bulldogs took a quick lead right off the bat as Stephanie
Zalewski picked up a loose rebound in the box and scored just 1:30
into the match. The Dolphins would answer right back on a
goal from Kaitlyn Brown to knot the match up at 1-1, but Bryant's
Alex Dipippo would put Bryant back in front on a goal in the 13th
minute.
The Bulldogs were not able to hold the lead as Le Moyne came
right back, scoring two goals in a span of four minutes to take a
3-2 lead into the locker room at the half.
Bryant coach Chris Flint opted to pull starting goalie Jessica
Neales at the half in favor of Jessica Clark who able to keep the
Dolphins off the board in the second frame.
Sophomore Holly Tyser got the equalizer for the Bulldogs three
minutes into the second half and Tricia Spada would tally the
game-winner in the 76th minute as the Bulldogs would escape.
