BULLDOG FIELD HOCKEY FALLS TO
CORNELL, 9-0, SATURDAY AFTERNOON

ITHACA, NY - The Bryant University field hockey team couldn't
pull out a win Saturday afternoon against a tough Cornell
University offense, falling to the Big Red, 9-0, in Ithaca, N.Y.
Led by a hat trick from Catie De Stio, Cornell (8-4) outshot the
Bulldogs (1-11), 23-8, getting goals from six different players.
Maura Greenwood joined De Stio with a multi-goal game,
registering two goals and an assist on the day.
The Bulldogs were led by two shots on goal from both
Danielle Moody (Gorham, Maine) and Caitlan
Johnson (Walpole, Mass.), while Elise Boissoneau
(Ashburnham, Mass.) recorded one. Junior Kundayi
Mawema (Harare, Zimbabwe) and freshman Jennifer
Gullotti (Waltham, Mass.) split the game in goal,
recording six and three saves, respectively.
The Bulldogs next travel to North Carolina where they will take
on Davidson College on Saturday, October 18 at 1 p.m.
