BULLDOGS STRUGGLE AGAINST COLGATE, FALL,
5-0, SATURDAY AFTERNOON

field hockey team struggled to find
its offense against Colgate University Saturday afternoon, falling
to the Raiders, 5-0 in Hamilton, N.Y.
Colgate (6-4) exposed the Bulldogs' defense without letting up
on its own defensive end, outshooting Bryant, 24-2.
Those two shots came off the stick of junior Caitlan
Johnson (Walpole, Mass.).
The Raiders got two goals from Laura Flisnik in two shots on
goal, while Lauren Carey led the game with six shots (one goal).
Bryant junior Kundayi Mawema (Harare, Zimbabwe)
made 11 saves in the losing effort.
The Bulldogs (1-8) next take the field when they travel to
Sacred Heart University for a 4 p.m. matchup, Friday, Oct. 3,
before hosting their final home game of the season, Sunday, Oct. 5
against Rider University at 12 p.m. at the Bryant Turf Complex.
