Unbeaten streak reaches nine as Bryant blanks SFBK

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – Sophomores Lexi Kraemer (Forest Hill, Md.) and Chae Diani (Milton, Mass.) provided goals as the Bryant University women's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to nine games with a 2-0 shutout of St. Francis Brooklyn on Friday afternoon.

With the win, the Bulldogs are now 6-0-3 in their last nine matches and 5-0-2 in Northeast Conference play. Bryant also moved into first place in the NEC standings, a point ahead of idle Fairleigh Dickinson.

  • 4th minute – Bryant 1, SFBK 0 – Junior Kylie Ratelle (Chicopee, Mass.) caused a turnover near midfield, collected the ball and sent a perfect cross to the left side of the 18. With the keeper coming out, Kraemer one-touched the ball with her left foot into right corner.
  • 69th minute – Bryant 2, SFBK 0 – Freshman Vanessa Majer (Butler, N.J.) played a perfect ball to spring Diani on a semi-breakaway. Diani dribbled toward goal before finishing in the lower left corner.
