SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant men's basketball team continues their two game road trip on Saturday and will look to continue their winning streak when they take on NJIT in Newark, New Jersey. Tip is set for 2:00 p.m.
Saturday's game will stream on ESPN+. The Bulldogs will try to move to 8-0 in league play. They most recently beat UMBC in Baltimore on Thursday.

THE SERIES
- The Bulldogs are 7-1 all-time against the Highlanders and are 5-1 at the Division I level.
- Bryant won both of their matchups against NJIT last season. Their last meeting in 2024 saw Bryant run away with a 101-82 victory at home last March.
BULLDOGS MAKE HISTORY IN PRIMETIME
- Bryant pulled away late against UMBC on Thursday and won 92-86 in Baltimore. Thursday's game streamed on ESPNU. With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 7-0 in America East play. This is the Black and Gold's best start to league play since transitioning to Division I.
- Connor Withers (18 pts, 12 reb) and Earl Timberlake (16 pts, 12 reb) each tallied double-doubles in the victory while Rafael Pinzon posted 18 points and four assists.
- Bryant also saw a tremendous contribution from Aaron Davis off the bench on Thursday. Davis recorded a career high 13 points on 5-10 shooting and 3-7 from three in 16 minutes of action.
C-DOUBLE-DOUBLE
- Withers recorded his first double-double of the season and the 3rd of his career on Thursday evening with 18 points (5-10) and 12 boards. He also registered 6 assists, and three steals.
- Thursday's win marked the 11th double-digit scoring game of the season for Withers and the 51st in his 136 game career.
- Withers also finished with double-digit rebounds for the 2nd time this season and the 8th time in his career.
- Withers is 4th all-time in Bryant's Division I program history for blocks with 78. Earl TImberlake is also in the top 10 for blocks; ranking 3rd with 88 career rejections in the Black and Gold.
- Withers is also now tied with Peter Kiss for 10th all-time in career steals.
FIVE MORE THINGS TO KNOW
- The Bulldogs are currently averaging 5.6 blocks per game which is the 8th best of any Division I team so far this season. Bryant has three games this season with 10 or more rejections.
- Bryant is the first non-Vermont team to start 7-0 in America East play since Stony Brook in 2015-16.
- Bryant currently has three active players in their all-time top 10 for career blocks. Earl Timberlake is 3rd all time with 88 career rejections, Connor Withers is right behind him in 4th place with 78 blocks, and Kvonn Cramer recently cracked the top 10 with 49 blocks.
- Withers tied Bulldog great Peter Kiss for career steals on Thursday. Withers now has 85 steal with the Black and Gold.
- Jakai Robinson notched his 5th double-figure scoring game of the season against the Retrievers. He finished with 12 points and six rebounds.
