SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Despite a career-high six-goal performance from
Emily DeGeorge, the Bryant women's lacrosse team fell to Stony Brook, 16-12.
DeGeorge's six goals tied her with Stony Brook's Isabella Caporuscio for the game-high, but the Bulldogs were unable to overcome the Seawolves' control of possession.
Isabella Katter opened the scoring for Bryant, but Stony Brook's consistent offensive execution and defense forced 21 turnovers, limiting the Bulldogs' transition opportunities.
The Seawolves held the advantage in key statistical categories: winning 17 draw controls, securing an 18-14 edge in ground balls, and converting 22-of-27 clears.
Despite Bryant's efforts to close the gap, Stony Brook maintained its lead to secure the win.
