Key Moments
- Wyers' three-run double highlighted a four-run second inning as the Bulldogs built an insurmountable 6-0 lead.
How it Happened
- Bryant plated two runs in the first without the benefit of a hit as the River Hawks committed three errors. Matt D'Amato walked, stole second and advanced to third on an infield error. Wyers brought him in with a hard line drive to right that was misplayed. The second run scored as Grady's pop up on the infield was dropped.
- In the second, a throwing error by the pitcher allowed Bryant to extend the inning. A walk and an HBP then loaded the bases with two outs and Wyers ripped the first pitch he saw into the left field corner to clear the bases and make it 5-0. Wyers would eventually score on a wild pitch to make it 6-0.
- Robbins did the rest, as he allowed singles in the second, third and fifth inning on his way to 5.0 scoreless frames.
- Bryant put the game away with three runs in the top of the sixth. Wyers brought home a run with a single through the left side and Grady capped Bryant's scoring with a two-run single through the left side.
- UML would score single runs in the seventh and ninth to close out the scoring.
