Bulldogs fall to Brown on Tuesday

PROVIDENCE – A pair of five-run innings lifted the Brown to a 10-6 victory over the Bryant baseball team on Tuesday afternoon at Murray Stadium.
 
The Bulldogs fall to 11-15-1 overall with the loss. Bryant will host New Haven in a non-conference game on Friday at Conaty Park.

How it Happened
  • Drew Wyers' second home run of the season gave the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead through three innings.
  • In the fourth, the Bears tied the game with a single and a fielder's choice. Benevento then hit a three-run home run to left to make it 5-2.
  • In the fifth, the Bears scored five times with just one hit. Four of the five runs scored via either a HBP or a BB with the bases loaded.
  • Bryant chipped away at the deficit in the seventh, loading the bases with no outs. An infield error kept the bases loaded and allowed a run to score and a fielder's choice plated the second run. Wyers then singled through the right side to make it 10-5.
