SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Ohio Valley Conference champion Bryant University women's tennis team is headed to Durham, North Carolina to face No. 8 seed Duke in the 2025 NCAA Women's Tennis Championships First Round.

The Bulldogs earned the OVCs automatic bid to the NCAA Championships with an incredible performance in their first Ohio Valley Conference championship tournament. Seeded third, the Black and Gold knocked off sixth-seeded Eastern Illinois in the quarterfinals to open the tournament. Bryant then took down No. 2 Western Illinois with a perfect 4-0 sweep, leading them to the championship match. The Bulldogs completed their run by dethroning the regular season champs, No. 1 Southeast Missouri State University, to claim the program's first OVC Championship title.
Bryant's lineup features All-OVC First Team singles players Yahli Noy and Natalia Vela, and the All-OVC Doubles team of Vela/Maria Jose Hernandez Diaz.
The Bulldogs will be making their third trip to the NCAA Tournament at the Division I level and their eighth in program history. Bryant also qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2015, and 2022.
