How it Happened
- Bryant grabbed an early lead without the ball leaving the infield in the second. D'Amico walked and advanced on a sac bunt. Saul then fouled off two bunt attempts before chopping a 2-2 pitch into the ground and beating the throw to first for an RBI single and a 2-0 Bryant lead.
- Binghamton, like game one, was able to tie the game with two runs in the third. Scamardella retired the first two batters before hitting the No. 9 hitter. Matt Bolton followed with an RBI double to left center on a 1-2 pitch to score the first run. After an infield single, Bade fisted a soft single to right field to tie the game. Trey Deitelbaum was able to get Bryant out of the inning as he induced a foul pop.
- The Black and Gold quickly retook the lead in the bottom of the third. Wyers worked back from an 0-2 count to draw a leadoff walk and came around to score as Durand hit a scorcher through the left side.
- Binghamton would tie the game with a two-out RBI single in the fourth and take its first lead of the championship with a two-out, two-run home run from Freddy Forgione in the fifth.
- Bryant erased the deficit with two runs in the bottom of the eighth. Durand opened the inning by smashing a 3-2 pitch just over the wall in deep left center to make it 5-4. D'Amato followed with a single to left center and moved up on a sac bunt. Noriega then came through a two-out, game-tying single to right field.
- In the 11th, a leadoff single was followed by a bunt towards first that resulted in an infield single. After a sac bunt, Todd Abraham got enough of an 0-2 pitch to bring home the lead run with a sac fly to left.
