RICHMOND, Va. -- Bryant football senior
Brandon Perkins was named the CAA Football Co-Defensive Player of the Week on Monday morning, the league office announced.
Perkins, a transfer from the University of New Hampshire, picks up his first career weekly honor after helping the Bulldogs defeat UMass, 27-26, on Saturday night.
The Williamstown, N.J., native posted a career-high 14 tackles and added two tackles for a loss in Bryant's first-ever win over an FBS program. Perkins was instrumental in helping Bryant get the ball back late in the game, contributing to all three stops to force the Minutemen to punt with 2:00 left.Â
Bryant will play its first home game of the season on Saturday, September 13 when it hosts Bentley at Beirne Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at BryantBulldogs.com/tickets.
