SMITHFIELD, R.I. -
Laura Clark was named the ECC bowler of the week, announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon.
This is the first time Clark has received the award this season and the fifth time a Bulldog has won the award, with
Olivia Hillman being a four-time ECC bowler of the week.
Clark had a great weekend at the Mount Shootout, helping her team finish 5
th overall with a 9-4 record, the highest ECC team finish at the tournament. She finished 4
th overall individually on Saturday, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team. She started the day with a 258 and 277, finishing with an overall total pinfall of 1,105 and 221 average. She also had a solid baker showing, averaging 18.47 for the tournament and making 100% of her single pin spares.
She is one of four seniors that will be honored on Sunday at the New England Cup in East Providence, along with Hillman,
Abby Unson, and
Stephanie Kotropoulos. The tournament is slated to begin at 9:00 AM with the Bulldogs competing against No. 10 Sacred Heart, Merrimack, and Saint Anselm.
